i_h_m: Well, we are so far away from Tunisia and we do not know about how is the (Black) Metal scene there. Can you say us something about it?

Angra Mainyu: We have a very small black scene here, actually 5 or 6 bands and they only play in concerts. The mentality is different here. That's why it's hard to find black productions from Tunisia.

i_h_m: I feel it and you said me it before: Ayyur and Angra Mainyu are so influenced by the french Black Metal bands, specially by Les Legions Noires. Why this?

Angra Mainyu: There is something special in the french Black scene, especially Les Legions Noires. They play filthy and Old-School Black Metal, I think that their Black is hard to access and full of dark athmosphere.

i_h_m: With your Dark Ambient's side-project Sadistic Visions you are released a Split CD yet. Why have an Ambient project?

Angra Mainyu: I think that Dark Ambient music is full of emotions. I am influenced by the dark arts and I think that black and Dark Ambient have the same dark and cold atmosphere.

i_h_m: Do you wish to express a specific message with Ayyur's lyrics? What?

Angra Mainyu: Yes, I am anti-religious and especially I am against islam. Ayyur's music decride the ideology and the mithology of berbers who lived in Nord Africa.

i_h_m: Precisely the next question is about what is your opinion about Europe's colonization process in North Africa. Maybe you know Egipt or Algeria...

Angra Mainyu, 2008.
Angra Mainyu: The north africans suffered from this colonization especially Algeria, the country of 1000000 martyrs but of course there is both good and bad things.

i_h_m: Do you have a political position in relation to Europe and America? What is your opinion about NSBM?

Angra Mainyu: No, this is not important for me, many fans think that Ayyur is a NS Black band but this is not true but I respect NS Black bands.

i_h_m: You said me that you know Satanizer from Colombia. Do you know other southamerican bands? Why do you like these bands?

Angra Mainyu: Oh yes, and I am one of their fans, I know Cruor Cultum from Brazil, Animus Mortis from Chile. I think that these bands will give birth to an another black Metal mouvement like Les Legions Noires and norwegian Black, they play true and Old-School Black, I really like these bands.

i_h_m: Ayyur is an one-man project. Has it some especial meaning for you?

Angra Mainyu: Yes, of course, Ayyur represent for me a way of thinking, in Tunisia there is nothing interesting to do so I always compose and write lyrics for Ayyur. Ayyur project helped me in my hard and dark days.

i_h_m: Great. What does Angra Mainyu do in daily life? Do you have some profession?

Angra Mainyu: I study economics and management but I always felt unhappy to study here in Tunisia, things are defferent here. I also compose and play bass guitar with a Raw Black Metal band called Lord Ahriman.

i_h_m: The future Ayyur and Angra Mainyu's projects are...

Angra Mainyu: Unfortenatelly Ayyur will be on hold for a year I think, maybe more due to the big lack of material but Ayyur will continue later.

i_h_m: All right Angra Mainyu, I want to thank you again, for your time and patience. Really I say you that here in Colombia, you have a real Ayyur's fan. If you want include something in the interview or say a final words, please do it.

Angra Mainyu: Thank's for giving me this opportunity and for supporting Ayyur.
